Our Work
Each year TBCI completes hundreds of assignments ranging from the routine
to the extraordinary. From installing a former president into Kevlar-shielded
offices to taking a tenanted 625,000 sq. ft. building apart and putting it
back together again, TBCI’s largest and most complex assignments only
underline our competence to handle the smaller jobs that comprise the bulk
of our work. Following are twelve prime examples:
Acuity Brands Lighting: Headquarters/Showroom Installation
Acuity Brands Lighting, one of the nation's leading lighting distributors, is
at the cutting edge of "green" energy efficiency in its industry.
Thus TBCI's installation of Acuity's new three-floor showroom and headquarters
in Manhattan was a full blown LEEDS project, utilizing every conceivable "environmentally
friendly" construction method and material.
Total
Building Retrofit: 744 Broad Street, Newark
The total retrofit of Newark's tallest
building included everything from
constructing public spaces and
replacement of all building systems
to installations of scores of new tenants
in this award winning urban success story.
Headquarters Installation: President Bill Clinton
Installing former president Bill Clinton
into new headquarters facilities in
Harlem included a convoluted approvals
process and esoteric building materials such as Kevlar-impregnated drywall
and bullet-proof doors.
New York University: Multiple Facilities
Classrooms, offices and a medical facility are among the various projects TBCI
has been privileged to complete for New York University in lower Manhattan.
Ironbound Children's Center: Newark
In addition to our accustomed role as interior constructor, TBCI handled core
and shell out-of-the-ground construction responsibilities in this splendid new
school project in Newark.
Barbie Store: FAO Schwartz
In one of scores of projects for Fisher-Price Mattel, TBCI constructed the first
"production Barbie facility" nationwide in the famed FAO Schwartz store in New
York.
Carleton Realty: Headquarters Installation
Installation of new headquarters facilities for Carleton Realty, a leading tri-state
development firm, included highly designed casework and sculpted surfaces in
the landmark 500 Fifth Avenue building.
N.V.
Perricone, M.D. Flagship Facility
Construction of flagship offices for
America's best known dermatologist was
severely complicated by the condition of
the aging landmark building in which it
was located. The spectacular results speak
for themselves.
Headquarters Installation: Duane
Morris
Installation of a famous "white shoe" law
firm into six floors of new headquarters
facilities in Philadelphia followed TBCI's
successful project for the firm in Newark.
The completed project met every one of
TBCI's tough standards of success.
Headquarters Installation: Matthew Bender
TBCI installed an 88,000 sq. ft. headquarters
facility for a leading financial printing firm
in parallel with retrofitting the building in
which it is located. Characteristically the
project was delivered with every one of the
client's goals fully satisfied.
Headquarters
Installation: HDG Mansur
The complexities in installing new headquarters
offices for this financial firm only began with
a difficult mechanical plan and specifications of
inordinately high end finishes in teak, stone and
glass. Taking this project from plans to reality
was an especially satisfying challenge for TBCI.
Recreational and Residential Installation: 1180 Raymond Boulevard, Newark
Although construction of commercial facilities is
TBCI's stock in trade, the firm demonstrated a deft
touch in the buildout of residential and recreational
facilities as part of the retrofit of 1180 Raymond
Boulevard in Newark.
